The Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA) is used to maintain an open airway in an emergency when a patient cannot maintain their own airway or is experiencing respiratory distress. It is recommended for use as a nasal airway adjunct in semi-conscious or unconscious patients with an intact gag reflex. Comes conveniently packaged with a packet of surgical lubricant to facilitate easy insertion.
